RawGear was created by a fitness influencer by the name of Bradley Martyn in 2015, based out of Southern California. This brand sells athletic clothes used mainly for working out. I do my best to stay consistent at the gym and I am always looking for clothes that will fit my lifestyle which is why I am interested in this brand. The company's value proposition is to be, “Raw in all aspects of life.” RawGear seeks for individuals to be fit and raw in every aspect of life. Meaning whatever you do in life do it to your best and do it in a way that fits you. On their website they have #letsgetbettertogether. Balenciaga Campaign

In November I began seeing Tik-Toks surrounding the new Balenciaga holiday campaign. Quickly, gossip about the ad campaign made its way to Twitter and Youtube. I started to notice its uniqueness when Youtubers I watch, began discussing it and adding #cancelBalenciaga to their social media captions. The ad campaign featured young kids holding a teddy bear in bondage harnesses and costumes. Later in the month, a collaboration with Adidas and Fashion House dropped a bag. In their advertisement, photographs of what appeared to be documents from the Supreme Court case United States v. Williams , a ruling which upheld the PROTECT Act, which increased federal protections against child pornography. Balenciaga was quick to release a public apology for their actions and a $25 million lawsuit against the producers of the campaign. Hello, welcome to my first blog!

 Hello, my name is Simeon. I was born and raised in Rogue River, Oregon and lived there until I was 18. Shortly after my 18th birthday I moved to Corvallis to start my college journey at Oregon State. I am majoring in Business Administration with the intentions of minoring in marketing. With that, I felt taking this class would give me good insight on marketing strategies and structure to good advertising. I am excited to see how companies have shifted their advertising to social media. In todays world people use streaming apps like Netflix, Disney plus, and HBO which don't run ads. Companies use to pay cable companies to run their ads or post them in the new paper but those two things are not as common anymore. I would like to learn more about using social media as a business rather than personal use. When I have free time I enjoy working out and playing basketball with my friends.
